The Dexter Community Calendar sign is used for non-profit meetings, town events and announcements
The community sign was purchased with a fundraiser was established with the help of John Parola, former Chief Art Roy, Dexter Regional Development Corporation,
local area businesses, organizations and clubs who gave approximately $14,000 in only 2 months time.
The community sign is used for safety warnings, nonprofit upcoming events, etc and can be programmed up to a year in advance.
If your club or organization has an upcoming event, stop by the police station and fill out the form during business hours.

Fridays
Dexter Farmers Market 9 to 1 every Friday at the P & L Market parking lot on route 7.
Local produce includes tomatoes, a wide variety of greens, and leeks as well as eggs, plants, soap, hand-made baskets and more.

Beginning Tues., Sept. 14th from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at 8 Mechanic Street Womancare will offer 36 hours of training around the special issues of domestic violence victims. Upon successful completion of the training you will earn 3.5 CEU's from the University of Maine. It's easy; become part of an amazing and unique group working to achieve peace in the home. Adult Grief Support Group
Pine Tree Hospice, 883 West Main Street, Dover-Foxcroft, 1st Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m., call PTH at 564-4346. (Facilitated by two trained PTH volunteers, no pre-registration is necessary for this group, though we do appreciate speaking with you prior to your coming.)
Indoor Walking
Dexter Town Hall will be open for walking from 7AM to 3PM & also from 5:30 to 7PM on Monday and Tuesday nights.
2nd Thursdays, Dexter Town Council
The Dexter Town Council meets every 2nd Thursday of the month, 7 pm at the Dexter Town Council Chambers on Main Street in Dexter.
Dexter citizens are encouraged to attend and be involved in your community.
Wassookeag Snowmobile Club
The Wassookeag Snowmobile Club monthly meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month at the club house on the Number 10 Road in Dexter. Time is 7 pm and is open to the public.
Teen Dance at Town Hall
Fridays - Teen dances for grades 5-8 will be the 4th Friday of every month at the Dexter Town Hall from 6-9:30 PM.

Rollerskating at Town Hall
Saturdays - Roller skating at Dexter Town Hall from 2-4 PM, until April 2010. Admission $1, skate rentals $1, Refreshments available.
If you have your own skates, feel free to bring them, including regulation Inline Skates, Roller Blades (not the sneaker type with the drop down wheels); limit sizes are available at the Roller Skating Rink.
Volunteers are needed to help run the concession stand, handing out skates etc, so if you could donate some time call Andy at 924-3438 for more information.

Last Wednesday of the Month
The North Country Riding Club monthly meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month at the Dexter Town Hall in Dexter and/or at the ring in the summer. Time is 6:30 pm for "Horsin' Around Chat & Snack", meeting time is 7 pm. Check the website for times and place.
Meetings are open anyone that has a love for horses and can be any age. You do not have to have a horse to join.
Blood Pressure Clinics
Blood Pressure clinics every Wednesday at the Council Chambers, 8-10 A.M.
Blood Pressure clinics every Thursday at Meals for Me in Dexter.
Blood Pressure clinics once a month at each Senior Citizen Housing Development.
These clinics are made possible by Dexter Public Health Association. This is a free clinic and everyone is welcome. For more information call 944-6443
Alzheimer's Support Group
The Alzheimer's Support Group in Dexter meets on the second Thursday of each month upstairs at St. Annes Parish Center. Meetings are held from 1:30 to 3 PM.
The next meeting is planned on Thursday, January 8th. St. Annes Parish Center is located on Free Street in Dexter.

DASH: Eastern Area on Aging at Town Council Chambers. Theresa Boettner will be on-site from 8:30 a.m.– 4:00 p.m to administer the Disabled and Aging Services Helpline (DASH).

Mayo Diabetes Support Group
The Diabetes Support Group at Mayo Regional Hospital has changed its meeting date to the 3rd Monday of each month, from 1-2 p.m. in the library in the hospital's Resource Center.
WomanCare Outreach Hours
Dexter- Every Friday 8:30-12 at the Morrison building beside the water district office upstairs over the Town Office
Milo- Every Tuesday 9-12 at the Police station
Greenville- 12-4pm 2nd and last Wednesdays of the month at CA Dean Hospital.
TOPS Meeting
TOPS meetings 9 am on Wed. mornings at the First Free Baptist Church on Spring Street.
The yearly dues is $24 and the weekly dues is $1.00 each week.

TOPS #ME 80 Non-Profit Weight Loss Support Group
TOPS #ME 80 of Dexter is a nonprofit weight loss support group and meets each Wednesday at the Dexter Fire Station Annex.
Weigh-in is held from 5:30 to 6:10 PM.

Dexter Cub Scout Pack #75
Dexter Cub Scout Pack #75 meets on Monday nights at 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Dexter Grange Hall on Church Street in Dexter.
Meetings follow the school calendar for holiday's and snow days.
In the summers they meet at the Dexter Boy Scout Lot, weather permitting. This year's Cub Master is Missy Smith. Call 924-5382 for more information.

Dexter Historical Society & Gift Shop & Museum
The Dexter Historical Society Gift Shop is open Saturday 10:00-4:00PM for the winter. Items on display will change from time to time.

Grist Mill Museum is closed for the season. A visit to the Grist Mill Campus includes the Millers House and the Carr Schoolhouse.

Friday, Abbott Memorial Library Story time
Abbott Memorial Library holds Story Hour on Friday at 11 A.M.
This program is for youngsters up to age 6, accompanied by a parent or other adult. This program is free to the public and includes stories, songs and crafts.
