Expanded Archery Season replaced by permit system
Archery hunters may have been surprised to see that the Expanded Archery Season was not available when they purchased their 2003 license. The expanded archery season is being replaced by a permit system where a bow hunter can purchase unlimited doe permits for $10.00 each, and one buck permit for $30. An expanded archery license cost $40 this past year, and limited hunters to two deer. The season length and areas would be similar to this past season. Rule-making will take place later this spring/summer to finalize the season dates, areas open, and license/permit requirements.
