DOVER-FOXCROFT - Beginning February 24th, 2003, Womancare will offer its 36 hour domestic violence and crisis intervention training to prepare volunteer advocates to assist in answering the 24 hour helpline. The training will meet each Monday and Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm for six weeks in Dover-Foxcroft. Qualifications include a pleasant phone voice, a willingness to work independently, as well as part of a team, and an understanding of the issues related to the work of our agency. Womancare needs volunteers to answer the help line from our 8 Winter office during the workday and to carry a beeper after office hours and on weekends and holidays.
