DEXTER - It is a year of “firsts” at Ridge View Community School including the birth of our first official “Booster” program! Known as the “Ridge View Boosters,” our goal is to encourage school and community spirit, good sportsmanship, unity, and responsible citizenship among students and adults of the Ridge View Community.
To fully realize the goal of community spirit and citizenship, the Ridge View Boosters not only plan to support athletic programs at the school, but any recognized school activity or group that upholds the values of our community of learning and responsible citizenship. One of our accomplishments to date includes transforming the concessions stand at the new school so that it is ready for business. We would like to express our thanks to the following businesses for their monetary support or support through labor and supplies: Dexter Lumber, Steve Chapman, (DDS), Toots Deli , Mike Stevens Plumbing, Howard Insurance, and the Dexter Football Boosters We are also excited to offer Ridge View Community School “Tigers” merchandise (t-shirts, hats, bandanas, sports bottles, two sizes of duffle bags, and stadium seat cushions) for very reasonable prices to help build the general fund. Order forms are available in the lobby, where the merchandise is also on display. At this point we are working with a skeleton crew and have limited funds, fueled by the raw energy of the new school community. We are accepting monetary donations of any amount, and happily and thankfully accepting donations of your time and service as well! You are invited to our first public meeting to be held on March 3rd at 6:00 pm. in the cafeteria. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Frank Spizuoco at 557-9642. Strong booster programs not only bring future state championships, they help build strong learning communities! |
