Dexter Fish & Game Association: Thanks to all

DEXTER FISH AND GAME ASSOCIATION would like to congratulate the following Trophy winners in our annual ice fishing derby held on Lake Wassookeag January 15th and 16th 2011:
David Letourneau Largest Togue 6.50 lbs
Nick Harvey Largest Salmon 3.66 lbs
Craig Goldbrook Largest Bass (small mouth) 4.16 lbs
Roger Bickmore Jr. Largest Brook Trout 2.56 lbs
Jason Clukey Largest Pickerel 2.68 lbs
Jasmine Merrill Most Yellow Perch 90
We are sorry to report none of the tagged fish were caught this year. The person who was drawn for the chance at $10,000 in cash was Roger Bickmore Jr. who unfortunately did not have the matching number. Better luck next year Roger! DF&G would also like to thank the following for their help in creating a very successful ice fishing derby:

3. All 384 hardy ice fishermen who registered for our event both locals and fisherman from as far away as Florida, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Vermont & New Hampshire and for them keeping the ice free of litter.

4.The Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife for tagging our fish.

5.A Special thanks to Chris & Julie Libby for providing us with a warm & very convenient place to use as Derby Headquarters at Lake Shore Lunch, to Mike Delaware and the road crew for plowing the parking areas, and to DF&G board members Jim Nicholas, Jim Costedio and Jeff Nicholas for braving the cold to provide hot food cooked by Vance McNaughton, Laurie Calhoun, Holly Nicholas, & Diane Nicholas to fisherman & for cruising the entire lake to pick up what few items were left behind by the ice fisherman, and to Laurie Calhoun for carving and painting all the great signs for our derby.
