NCRC hold Sleigh Rides March 1st

DEXTER - Horse lovers, you are invited to the next North Country Riding Club Meeting on Wednesday, February 26th at 6:30 pm. Because of the overwhelming attendance at the first 2003 meeting, the 'new' meeting location is at the Wassookeag Snowmobile Club on the Number 10 Road in Dexter.

The next meeting members will be discussing and voting on the following:

Forming various event committees, High School Scholarships, Yearly Programs, the new Pleasure Trail/Drive Report, class schedules and more.

Members do not have to own a horse and do not have to be a resident of Dexter. Members and participants come from all over Central Maine including Corinna, Charleston, East Corinth, Shirley, Garland, Dover-Foxcroft, St. Albans, Bangor, Hermon, Hampden, Greenville and more.

North Country Riding Club is scheduling even more events in 2003! This year there will be 2 Equitation Shows, 2 Gaming Shows, 2 NCRC Organized Trail Rides, the "new" Pleasure Ride/Drive Program in addition to events offered to the public.

One of those events is Horse & Sleigh Rides on Saturday, March 1st at the Hamilton/Thompson Farms, just up from the Dexter Beach Area on the Crockett Road. Rides are being provide by J & S Horses and Livestock from West Enfield and will be beginning at 9:30 am until mid afternoon, weather permitting.

Bring a blanket and pack the kids, grand kids, grandparents and friends and enjoy a leisurely old fashion sled ride through the pines. Price is for ages 5 and under are FREE, 6 to 12 only $2.00 and 13 and over $3.00.
