DEXTER – Plans are underway for the 15th Annual Trade Show & Community Fair hosted by The Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union. This year's event will be held at the NEW Ridge View Community School, 175 Fern Road, Dexter, from 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Chamber members and friends as well as interested businesses and entrepreneurs from throughout the valley and beyond are invited to showcase their business, products and services for area residents and fellow businesses. Participants are invited to use this event to introduce a new product lines or services, promote a special sales event or even advertise for new employees. With booth space, there is an opportunity to introduce or re-introduce your business to area shoppers and get to know other business owners, all in one day. Space is available both inside and outside. Outside displays might include cars, trucks, campers, boats, ATVs, RVs, garden displays or products, to name a few. Business booths 8 x 10 feet start at $100 for Chamber members and $125 for non-members. Chamber membership is also offered at a $20 discount in conjunction with the show. Artisans & crafters are welcome again this year and will be featured in the cafeteria at a reduced rate, beginning at $35. Crafters and artisans are expected to supply their own tables and covering, although rentals may be available. Local vendors specializing in food products are especially welcome. Special children's activities are planned and the Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis will be hosting its annual Bike Safety Rodeo. The Chamber hopes the 2011 Trade Show & Community Fair will be a useful tool for local business and entrepreneurs and their customers; therefore, we welcome any comments or suggestions they may have concerning the show. The Chamber is always looking for ways to better serve our members and the communities that we represent. The Trade Show has started regular meetings and welcomes new ideas. We look forward to having you join us for a productive and interesting day. Booth space is limited registration forms are available from committee members and through the Chamber Information Center (log cabin) in the WalMart parking lot in Palmyra. Payment is requested with registration.
