DEXTER - The Wassookeag Snowmobile Club held the very popular “Ice Wars” drag racing competition, on March 4, on Little Lake Wassookeag in Dexter. This was the second event, held this year, by the club and the response was fantastic. The previous event was a radar run. The weather was cooperative and made the ice conditions stable through out the day. Approximately seventy-five racers, from all over the State, participated in hopes of winning some cash, by the end of the day! Drivers seemed anxious to get on the ice and have some fun, as the lack of snow this year has left most snowmobile enthusiasts in the dust. the winners were:
