MAINE – Members of the Maine House and Senate joined in recognizing Michael A. Morrison, of Charleston, who was named the 2009 Maine Game Warden of the Year.

Morrision is a 33 year veteran of the Maine Warden Service. Like his father, before him, Retired Game Warden Lieutenant Gray Morrision, he is based in Greenville, and is well known for his commitment to conservation law enforcement, particularly to combating poaching in the district.

He is also the creator of the Outdoor Partner's Program, where Wardens travel through-out the State educating the public on fishery and wildlife issues and the role of the Warden Service.
