DEXTER - The North Country Riding Club will be holding their first horse show of the 2006 season, Sunday, June 04th with members and participants coming from all over Central & Northern Maine. The upcoming "All Ribbon Equitation Show" has 40 Classes focusing everything from halter classes, English & Western classes to Lead Line for the youngest rider, draft / draft-cross halter class, driving classes and jumping. The NCRC shows are at Bud Ellms Field in the North Country Riding Club Arena in Dexter. Show registration is at 8 am; Show time is 8:30 AM and will be held rain or shine. All horses must have current rabies and coggins papers upon entering the Show Grounds for the safety of all horses.
NCRC holds their monthly meeting the last Wednesday of the month and the public is invited. The next monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, May 31st at the NCRC show ring to do some clean up in preparation for the show. Spectator admission & parking is free and you can grab a bite to eat from the Dexter Sports Boosters food booth cooking up breakfast from Game start, and continuing cooking their famous homemade fries, burgers, sausage and cold drinks for the entire day. All proceeds from the Dexter Football Boosters food sales go to Dexter Schools Programs. There will be other equine type vendors also attending to sell their wares to the participants and spectators as well. NCRC's schedule for the 2006 season is:
