Commencement Service for the Class of 2006 at Dexter Regional High School will be held on Sunday, June 11th at 1 PM in the Guiski Gymnasium. Valedictorian will be Sabrina Cote, daughter of Mr. Thomas Cote and Ms. Valerie Cote, both of Dexter. Sabrina has been secretary of her class for all four years. She is president of the National Honor Society, Key Club secretary, and took part in Dirigo Girls State. Sabrina has participated in soccer; softball; basketball, which she was captain of this year’s State Championship Team; track; the musical; chorus; Prom Committee; and she was yearbook co-editor. Sabrina will attend Bowdoin College, where she plans to study English/History.
Salutatorian will be Michael Nokes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Nokes of Dexter. During his four years at Dexter Regional High School, Michael has participated in band and jazz band, which he is president of both. He was also the Tri-M Music Honor Society president and participated in the following: Maine Summer Youth Music; Jazz All-State; MMEA District V Honors Festival; Queen City Big Band; National Honor Society; Key Club; DRHS Leadership Team; yearbook staff; Foreign Language Club; football; and Dirigo Boys State. After graduation,
Michael plans to study Music Education at the University of Maine in Orono. |
