Tuesday, June 20, 2006
DEXTER – "Save Gas… Ride Local" - The North Country Riding Club is celebrating Independence weekend by hosting their first horse show of the 2006 season, Sunday, July 2nd with members and participants coming from all over Central & Northern Maine. Rider ages range from youngsters to the young at heart.

The June Equitation show was cancelled due to extreme rain and muddy conditions but will be rescheduling later this season. If shows are cancelled we will post on NCRC website as soon as possible or add your name to the call list. We are sorry if it caused any inconvenience in June.

The upcoming "All Ribbon Game Show" has 36 Classes focusing on "Family Fun" with horses & riders, but also brings great entertainment for the spectators. There will be Ribbons awarded to the top 5 places with trophies awarded at the end of the day. The NCRC shows are held at Bud Ellms Field in the North Country Riding Club Arena in Dexter.

Game Show registration is at 8:15 am; Game Show starts at 9:00 AM and will be held rain or shine (unless extreme weather). All horses must have current rabies and coggins papers upon entering the Show Grounds for the safety of all horses.

Registration forms, Rules & Regulation List and Class Lists are all available at DexterRidingClub.com. Also, check out the website for directions/map to the arena and/or monthly meetings. NCRC holds their monthly meeting the last Tuesday of the month and the public is invited.

Free parking and water is available for horses on day.

Spectator admission & parking is free and you can grab a bite to eat from the Dexter Football Boosters food booth cooking up breakfast from Game start, and continuing cooking their famous homemade fries, burgers, sausage and cold drinks for the entire day. All proceeds from the Dexter Football Boosters food sales go to Dexter school's sports programs. So grab the lawn chairs & load the family in the car and enjoy a family event during the 4th of July weekend.
