DEXTER - The Dexter Historical Society will continue a popular program begun last year by hosting its second annual discussion series. The topics for this year are: Dexter Shoe Company, the Bowlaway, Winter Sports, then and now, and Scouting, then and now. The public is invited to come and share their memories of the topics, or to just listen and learn. An exhibit of materials relating to each topic will be on display and refreshments will be offered. The meetings will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM at the Abbott Museum. The first meeting, on July 9, will consider the history of Dexter Shoe and the effect it had on the town.
