NCRC holds first show this Sunday
Wednesday, July 07, 2004
DEXTER -The North Country Riding Club is kicking off their 2004 Show Season this Sunday, July 11th with members and participants coming for all over Central & Northern Maine. There will be 40 classes including English Equitation, Jumping, 2 Driving Classes, a perennial favorite, the Costume Class and Western classes. New this year for owners of Drafts and Draft/Cross horses is a halter class.

The North Country Riding Club also has it's own water and power (underground) this year. A long workday was held recently where a 600 ft ditch was dug to run the electric and water lines, a bigger parking area was created and post put in for speakers at the woods line. McKusick Construction, Chapman Plumbing, Herrick Electric, Town of Dexter and NCRC members helped make this possible.

In the near future, fill and gravel is planned for the back side of the ring to create bigger horse trailer parking courtesy of C.M. Ellms Construction and S.D. Wilbur Trucking.

The upcoming "All Ribbon Equitation" Horse show is held at NCRC Ring at Bud Ellms Field in Dexter. The show will be held rain or shine at 8:30 AM with Judge Ernie Bragg.

Pre-registration forms, Rules & Regulation List and Class Lists are available at www.DexterRidingClub.com. Water is available and the Concession Stand is once again being provided by the Volunteer Dexter Sports Boosters. Admission for spectators is FREE.
