DHS votes in new officers
The Annual Meeting of the Dexter Historical Society on September 19 was well attended. Members elected officers for the coming year. Carl Steller is President, Frank Spizuoco, Vice-president, Helen Wilkins, Secretary, David Pearson, Treasurer and Rick Whitney, Director. Copies of the Annual Report were handed out.

A new window display has been installed at the Millside Building. It features photos, artifacts and information about the long history of the Fay-Scott foundry and machine shop.

A second order of the Bicentennial afghan has been received. A new decorative wooden block from Fernwood of Maine, this one representing the Abbott Memorial Library, has also come in. The calendar for 2002 featuring photos of Dexter garages and auto dealers is now available. For information on purchasing them call 924-5721.

The Grist Mill Museum and the Carr Schoolhouse will close on September 29 after a very busy and successful year.
