Abbott Book Club investigates 21st century possibilities

DEXTER - Imagine What America Could Be In the 21st Century. That is the title of the book Abbott's Book Club members have chosen to read for November. Editor Marianne Williamson has put together essays from leading American thinkers to produce a forward-thinking collection of reflections on how to make a better world.

This wide ranging collection of thoughts on various topics range from the environment, education, religion, to the economy, all geared toward the future of our civilization. It is about hope and relationships.

These essays assess the problems that result from systems that seem to have gone out of balance all around us. It offers beginning solutions for the future. It is crammed with thoughts to encourage us and direct us on how to act. The essays, full of visions, schemes, dreams, and plans are penned by well known personalities such as: David C. Korten, John Gray, and Dennis Kucinich. The authors have attempted to illuminate higher possibilities that could create a future full of hope resulting in a better world for all.

The club will meet to discuss this book on Wednesday, November 26th at 6 P.M. All are invited.
