Come and Enjoy the day in the Penquis Valley area

The Penquis Valley Entrepreneurs Association has coordinated the First Annual Old Time Penquis Valley Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 1, 2001.

This day will be filled fun for the whole family through whole region. Many Businesses will be having Holiday Open Houses. Look for PVEA Snowflake which will be display in participating business.

The art show will from 10 am to 2 pm at the Thompson Free Library. Many organization will be collecting food, clothing and toy for their Christmas project in their town and during the parade.

Downtown Dover-Foxcroft will be filled with a puppet show for the children of all ages and as well live music.

The First Annual Lighted Christmas Parade sponsored by The Piscataquis Observer will start at 5:30 pm in Dover-Foxcroft. Right after the parade, the caroling and Christmas Tree Lighting will begin. If you have a business or group that would like to be a part of the parade please 564-8355. Don't forget to enter the Poker Run and the best hand wins a great prize. Each card is just a dollar.
