Dear Friends, It's that time of year again for our annual appeal for funds. This past year we needed substitute nurses while Brenda was out on medical leave and are very happy to have Brenda back full time. We were able to hire the substitutes to help carry on our work in part because of your generosity in helping us fill a need in our communities. This allows us to bring nursing care to many home-bound people who are not eligible for Medicare or MaineCare in home services. Since we do not charge for our visits we are dependent on donations from the towns, organizations and individuals to carry out our work, which includes but is not limited to the following: Nurses available for home visits Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Garland, Dexter and Ripley. Blood Pressure clinics every Wednesday at the Miller House, 8-10 A.M. Blood Pressure clinics every Thursday at Meals for Me in Dexter. Blood Pressure clinics once a month at each Senior Citizen Housing Development. We realize the economy is not in good shape right now but any donation you can make at this time will be very much appreciated! Thank you for your continued support. Sincerely, Nancy Hoskins, RN., BSN |
