DEXTER - Seventh graders at RVCS recently participated in the National Patriot's Pen essay contest which is sponsored by the Dexter V.F.W. All 7th grade students wrote essays to the prompt "Does Patriotism Still Matter?" and 26 students submitted their essays for judging. Winning essays chosen by the Shirley B. Carter Ladies Auxiliary were: 1st Place —- Jared Grinnell 2nd Place —- Heather Swain 3rd Place —- Katie Batron Each student received a Patriot Pen Medal, Certificate and a Savings Bond and were honored at a recent banquet where families and friends attended. All the students are congratulated for the time and effort they put forth in writing their essays. |
