The Town Office is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM. The Clerks are available for motor vehicle registrations, Inland Fisheries and Wildlife licenses and registrations, vital records, Municipal licenses and permits, collection of taxes, notary services, voter registrations, absentee ballots, and other services as needed by the Dexter residents.

Hunting and Fishing License Renewals:
MOSES is the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife’s online hunting & fishing licensing system. With MOSES, you can purchase licenses any time of the day or night, and print your license out in your home or office in just minutes. Any Resident, Non-Resident or “Alien” Sportsperson looking to hunt or fish in the State of Maine. This online service is not available for individuals that need to obtain a Complimentary, Lifetime, Military license or those from countries other than the U.S.A. or Canada

This online service allows you to register your Boat (vessel) with the State of Maine. Following your transaction, you will receive a temporary registration form to print for immediate use. Your official registration and stickers will arrive at the shipping address specified within ten business days.
Boat registrations are valid from January 1 through December 31.
The Town Office now accepts credit/debit cards – VISA, MASTER CARD, DISCOVER, and AMERICAN EXPRESS. Credit card services are handled through InforME – the same agency that handles Rapid Renewal and Inland Fisheries and Wildlife on-line services. The fee for the use of the credit/debit card are paid by the user at approximately 2 1/2% of the total transaction . Fees can be quoted before the transaction is processed.
Any United States Citizen of at least 18 years of age is entitled to vote.
To be eligible to vote, you must provide proof of residency with the Registrar of Voters at the Town Office prior to the election. In order to vote in a Primary Election, you must register as a member of one of the political parties.
Absentee Ballots are obtained through the Town Clerk at the Town Office on Main Street in Dexter.
