Annual Winter Festival held despite 'frigid' cold weather
On the weekend of February 15-16, the Town of Dexter and the Wassookeag Snowmobile Club hosted their Annual Winter Festival. The following are a few of the activities:

Radar-Run Results
The Wassookeag Snowmobile Club hosted the event on Lake Wassookeag at the Dexter Recreation Area off Route 23. Registration entry fee was $5 for one run or $10 for three runs. Track distance is 1,000 ft.
Winter Festival Dance
Saturday night at the K of C Hall in Dexter. Doors will open at 7:30PM and a DJ will be playing until midnight. Cost is $5 per person at the door.
Snowmobile Parade
Parade participants should gather along ITS 85 where it intersects with McFarland Street beginning at 10:30 AM, Sunday, February 16. The parade will begin promptly at 11 AM. Judging for best costumes, decorated sleds, and towed floats will take place as the parade passes Motor Supply Company at the intersection of Grove and Dam Streets . Awards will be presented immediately following the parade at the Wassookeag Snowmobile Club. There is no entry fee.
